We offer families a wide range of care options throughout Tasmania including Family Day Care, Early Learning and Care and Outside School Hours Care.

We are a highly motivated, passionate and collaborative team, continuing to renew, revitalise and expand our Service offering.

In this role you will be able to support, guide and mentor Family Day Care Educators to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, nurturing, educational environment for children in our local community. With your expertise in the early learning sector and extensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework, you will be able to work collaboratively with FDC educators to embed best practice behaviours and procedures to ensure high quality education and care outcomes for children.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in the early learning sector
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check (or the ability to obtain)
  • A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current First Aid Certificate (or the ability to obtain)
  • National Police check no more than 6 months old

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and a culture of continuous Improvement. This includes an ability and willingness to learn about and understand specific Legislative and Learning Frameworks (National Law & Regulations, Early Years Framework, My Time Our Place, Family Assistance Law) and to ensure Educator compliance with all requirements as specified within this framework.
  2. Recent experience in Early Childhood Education and Care (or related) sector and ability to drive both existing educator engagement and future Educator recruitment.
  3. Demonstrated ability to motivate, facilitate learning and to empower others as well as the ability to work with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds both in a team and autonomously.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to produce clear documentation and reports with a strong focus on compliance and accuracy.
  5. Well-developed mediation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  6. Sound time management skills, ability to prioritise tasks and efficiently manage workload to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  7. Currently hold or studying towards attainment of a relevant Early Childhood Education qualification (minimum of Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care).
