Tasks include:
- Utilizing architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp for drawing sketches, plans, and designs.
- Meeting with clients and other construction professionals to understand briefs and specifications.
- Working closely with architects and engineers to convert conceptual designs into detailed construction drawings using industry-standard software.
- Estimating material costs and working within specified budgets.
- Conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils.
- Supervising engineering works and repairs.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and contract provisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proven 2 years of relevant work experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or similar role.
- Proficiency in using architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp for creating detailed construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to translate design concepts into technical drawings using industry-standard software.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations, potentially using tools such as the International Building Code (IBC) or local building codes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
