We are seeking a Head Chef to lead a team of committed staff at our Park Village home in the northern suburbs to deliver an exceptional food service.
Our focus is to support local produce and the community in providing fresh and unique food choices.
Roster:
Rotating Roster across 14 days (flexible on days) - 8:00am - 4.00pm
What This Role Involves:
- Dual responsibilities in food preparation / presentation and site management
- Overall cost management with a focus on food and labour costs
- Stock ordering and rotation
- Adherence to food hygiene & safety practices
- Demonstrable team management, development & leadership
- Assisting the broader team as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain one)
- Experience in operating kitchens (managing and leading staff), food & operational costs, experience in Aged Care would be highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills
- Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
You will excel in time management and attention to detail, and have pride in the presentation of meals and the kitchen environment.
Candidates must have a current Police Clearance or willing to obtain one, and working rights to work in Australia.
