About the company
Located centrally on North Terrace, Adelaide Plastic Surgery (APS) has been in operation since 1998. It conveniently resides within a modern, purpose-built facility with private consulting rooms and access to fully accredited day surgery theatres.
The experienced team of practitioners and associates which currently includes eight Specialist Plastic Surgeons, a General Oncologist Surgeon and three Hand Therapists offer an extensive range of services, fully supported by modern facilities and innovative technology.
About the role
This exciting role is for a motivated, ambitious, passionate, caring and outgoing person to join our vibrant and dedicated team within our specialist Plastic Surgery practice.
Working in a busy and fast-paced practice, the Administrative Assistant will provide reception and administrative support to all members of the APS team. This role also covers all front of house duties including welcoming and assisting patients at reception, over the phone or by email correspondence, managing appointment bookings for multiple practitioners, processing EFTPOS and HICAPS payments and general office duties including stock control and keeping the office tidy.
This position is 3-5 days a week (8.45am-5pm, Mon-Fri) and is available for an immediate start.
We are close to all public transport or nearby parking is available at your own expense.
Duties:
- You will be accountable for ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, responding professionally and confidentially to all enquiries, and booking of appointments.
- Accurately record all relevant patient information, bookings, and communications utilising the in-house patient management system, Genie.
- Collaborate with, and provide support to the doctors and associates within the practice.
- Communicate with patients to manage and confirm appointments.
- Accurately invoice, receipt and reconcile patient payments, accounts, and invoicing.

Previous experience in a medical and/or specialist environment is preferred. Experience with Genie software management system is an advantage. You will be committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face. With strong problem-solving skills, demonstrate empathy, initiative, inclusivity, adaptability and flexibility.
