Position Description: National Executive Officer
Location: Remote (National Office located in Port Adelaide, South Australia)
Salary: 80-85k per annum, plus superannuation
Overview of Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA):
We are a dynamic organisation within the parks and leisure industry, dedicated to enhancing the experiences of our members through effective membership programs and a range of services. As the National Executive Officer, you will play a crucial role in both developing and coordinating the delivery of National initiatives and programs and lead strategic projects that contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
As the National Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and coordinate delivery of National and regional professional development programs, working with our Regional Executive Officers to ensure the programs are accessed across the nation
- Lead project teams and deliver strategic projects that contribute directly to the outcomes of PLA
- Manage a range of consultation, engagement and industry events that enable you to establish and maintain an effective network of internal members and external industry stakeholders
- Provide timely and accurate analysis and reporting for both internal and external audiences that demonstrate the impact of Parks and Leisure Australia and its programs.
- Contribute to the implementation of efficient business processes to ensure programs are effectively documented, managed, promoted and reviewed.
- Reporting and Analytics: Compile regular reports related to PLA’s progress against its strategic objectives and utilise data-driven insights to inform decision-making and enhance the quality of services provided.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and PLA National team to actively contribute to a culture that values continuous improvement and collaboration. Assist with ongoing projects and initiatives, within the organisation, as needed.
- Adaptable Role: Be open to undertaking additional duties aligned with your position, training, and experience, as reasonably required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. (Desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in project management and program delivery.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and lead remote teams when delivering projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience managing consultation and industry events.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of regular project and program reporting.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of the parks and leisure industry is highly advantageous.
Remuneration:
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum
Superannuation: In addition to the salary
