About our Physiotherapist role
As a Casual Physiotherapist, ideally you will be available to work between Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm for approximately 2 shifts a week.
Duties and responsibilities include but not be limited to:
- Physiotherapy Services: Deliver evidence-based assessments, treatments, and rehab for ADF musculoskeletal injuries.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, goal-driven care.
- Holistic Care: Focus on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long-term well-being.
- Evidence-Based Practice: Use the latest techniques to enhance treatment quality and effectiveness.
- Patient-Centered Approach: Prioritize patient needs, fostering engagement and accountability in recovery.
As the ideal applicant you will have:
- A current, unconditional registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA
- Minimum of 2 years' full-time or part-time equivalent, post-graduate musculoskeletal experience within the last 5 years, in an accredited physiotherapy setting
- Recent engagement in Continuing Professional Development activities aligned with AHPRA guidelines
- A current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID009)
- Membership with the Australian Physiotherapy Association (preferred)
- Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
About the Robertson Health Centre
Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of the city of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2,800 defence staff, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The Health Centre provides primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health services, and operates a 22-bed 24/7 ward. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530, Monday-Friday.
