About the role

We're looking for a highly skilled and qualified professional to join our dedicated cladding team.

In this role, you'll be responsible for assessing external cladding on existing building facades, conducting compliance actions based on risk, developing fire safety strategies, preparing fire safety assessment reports, and participating in meetings and site reviews during the cladding project.

Upon completion of the cladding project, you’ll move to an area team, where your focus will shift to regulatory building compliance, with an emphasis on fire safety and managing unauthorised building work.

We’re looking for someone with:

• relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Building Science, Building Surveying, Engineering, or a similar field
• proven experience in fire safety regulation
• strong knowledge of relevant legislation, the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and Australian Standards related to building compliance
• experience in stakeholder management, handling complex issues, and negotiating or mediating on contentious matters.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
