Description:

Infrastructure Services Division are seeking two (2) experienced School Leaders in the capacity as Principal Education Officer (EOSD) to ensure we incorporate a school management perspective in relation to space allocation guidelines and capacity assessment methodologies.

This is to ensure our service delivery continues to align with contemporary educational and operational needs. These EOSD roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to long-term infrastructure planning improvements that will benefit Queensland's state school network. Based in Brisbane CBD.

Commencing Term 2, 2025 until 04 April, 2026 unless otherwise determined. EOSD secondment conditions apply.

Key Stakeholders

Internal and external, primarily the teams within the Infrastructure Services Division, State Schools Division, regional infrastructure teams, policy and strategy units.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • You must be a permanent employee of the department with a substantive teaching or classified officer role employed under Teaching in State Education Award - State 2016, have current full registration as a teacher and should be aware that temporary internal moves for the purposes of the department's payroll processes are referred to as internal secondments.
  • Employees' engaged temporarily as Education Officer - Special Duties have a requirement of 36¼ hours per week attendance and arrangements as outlined in clause 5.12 of the Department of Education State School Teachers' Certified Agreement 2022
  • When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
