An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Officer to join our small but dedicated Payroll team based in Clayton .
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for processing the fortnightly payroll in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures, and awards.
You will deliver excellence in customer service and be the expert key user of our payroll system (Dayforce), while actively working towards continuous improvement solutions. If you're detail-oriented, committed to compliance, customer focused and experienced in payroll processes, this could be the role for you!
Your Key Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring a timely and accurate end to end payroll process, of the fortnightly payroll for 650+ employees, in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures and awards
- Processing Out of Cycle terminations, in accordance with Awards and legislation
- Reviewing and auditing payroll data and reporting on findings, while fixing any inaccuracies
- Payment of Commissions and Third Party Payments, ensuring accuracy with tax, workers compensation and superannuation calculations
- Provide outstanding customer service by way of regular reporting, emails and phone queries on various payroll matters
- Assist in the development or Payroll Procedures and Policies
- Act as a back-up for the Payroll Manager
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced Payroll Officer with 5-10 years’ experience, who is adaptable and has a continuous improvement mindset. You excel as a team player, taking pride in delivering an efficient and accurate payroll to the business.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous payroll experience in a similar role, working with an automated windows-based payroll system – such as Dayforce, Aurion, ADP and others
- Experience in processing end-to-end payroll, including award interpretation, termination payments and system integrations
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Experience working to tight time frames
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Confidence in communicating with all levels of employees and leaders
- Experience with Dayforce or similar payroll systems (preferred)
