What you will do
In the Team Leader role, you will:
- Research and manage the development of web publishing solutions at the request of business units and management
- Contribute to the development and review of strategies, implementation plans and governance for the online channel (including websites, web applications and online collaboration), consistent with whole-of-government directions, Queensland Government Information Standards and best practice.
- Ensure the technical design, development, testing and maintenance of the QCAA's content management system (CMS) supports the organisation's goals and business requirements
- Manage and advise on the CMS contract and support requirements including liaising with the vendor (Squiz) for maintenance and updates.
- Initiate and lead the development and implementation of useability, accessibility, interaction design and resource discovery standards for QCAA web sites and web applications and provide appropriate expert advice to management and staff.
- Manage web publications and web development projects in consultation with business and publishing units, ensuring the integrity of information architecture and user experience is maintained
- Negotiate and manage client expectations, timeframes, priorities and workloads to meet stakeholder requirements and QCAA business objectives
- Plan and manage search and resource discovery (administration; document metadata).
- Analyse web metrics (Google Analytics; log file analysis), provide reports to stakeholders, and identify opportunities for performance improvement
- Manage and lead the Web Team, including task allocation, priorities, performance, and recruitment, as required to undertake business-as-usual and project activities.
- Maintain expert knowledge of current technologies and best practice in useability and user-centric design for the development and maintenance of QCAA websites and identify and create opportunities for innovation and continual improvement.
- Contribute to effective and collaborative teamwork within the Unit and contribute to a change management and performance development culture across the branch by participating in regular two-way feedback discussions with direct reports
