About the role
As a Lead Developer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our trade website in a cross functional team environment.
You will be a key conduit between Delivery Leads, Tech Lead, Product Managers and your Development Team to lead the problem solving and implementation of a solution. You will be a champion agile software development practices such as test-driven development, continuous delivery and pair programming.
What's involved:
- Design, code, test and deploy the build and management of the trade website
- Support the implementation of the platform's technology strategy
- Contribute to a maintainable, high quality, and performant codebase
- Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers and engineers
- Working in an agile team, where iterative experimentation and data driven decisions with product and UX is valued
- Effectively communicate your technical solutions and product ideas with the team
- Mentor other engineering team members
Who we’re looking for
You will be a detail oriented, outcome driven problem solver who is well versed with working within agile environments. As a passionate technologist you are all about knowledge sharing and upskilling and possess excellent collaboration, communication and leadership skills.
You’ll need:
- Extensive hands-on experience in modern JS frameworks, e.g, React, Next.js
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture and modern development practices
- Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
- Ability to drive technical decision-making, considering scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Successful track record in coaching and mentoring engineers
- Experience with testing new and existing features through both manual and automated methods
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and front-end security best practices is desirable
- Experience with component libraries and design systems is desirable
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines or similar is desirable
- Knowledge of container environments like Docker is desirable
- Any prior experience with 0Auth 2.0 or OIDC is desirable
- Exposure to Java or C# backend development is desirable
