What does the job look like?
Take the lead in shaping a safer, more compliant workplace across Redbank and Parkinson. As a Safety & Compliance Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our transport operations meet the highest safety standards. From auditing sites to driving risk-reduction strategies, you'll play a hands-on role in protecting our people, customers, and business across both locations while supporting our retail supermarket customer. Key areas:
- Provide expert advice on transport and operational compliance, including Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and load restraint.
- Conduct safety audits, ICAM investigations, and risk assessments across both sites.
- Implement proactive safety initiatives to reduce workplace injuries and motor vehicle incidents.
- Develop and enforce compliance action plans in collaboration with site leadership.
- Coach and support teams to uphold high safety standards and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and store representatives.
Are you the one?
You’re an experienced safety professional with a strong understanding of compliance in transport and logistics. You know how to influence teams, implement safety strategies, and ensure compliance in a high-paced, transport environment. You can demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety (WHS Certificate IV or Diploma).
- Lead Auditor certification and ICAM accreditation.
- Strong experience in road transport compliance and safety management systems.
- Skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, and WHS legislation.
- Proven ability to engage and educate teams on safety and compliance requirements.
