The Opportunity
At Kinrise, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and healthy work environment across all our sites and continuously strives for improvement in our health and safety practices. In this newly created role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive and lead our safety programs across our sites nationally, with the support of our site HSE leaders and GM Quality, Safety & Sustainability.
What’s in it for you?
Based in Melbourne, with opportunities to travel to sites in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, this role offers you the chance to drive continuous improvement in health and safety systems, practices, and behaviours across Kinrise sites by implementing best-practice health and safety programs. Working across multiple locations, you’ll lead and embed our Never Walk By Safety culture across all Kinrise sites.
Key responsibilities:
- Embed Kinrise Never Walk By culture to all Kinrise sites
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs including psychosocial safety across all sites
- Standardize and embed key safety programs such as manual handling, working at heights, electrical safety, etc.
- Support site HSE Managers with risk assessments, training, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess HSE performance and implement corrective actions
- Manage workplace injury programs, including rehabilitation and early return to work strategies
- Key liaison with the WCOMP insurers and Kinrise insurance broker
- Lead the health and safety community of practice, providing expertise, coaching, and mentoring to site HSE Managers
What you’ll bring to Kinrise:
- At least 5 years of HSE Management experience in FMCG industry particularly designing, developing and embedding HSE programs
- Experience in safety system software such as Donesafe
- Expertise in workplace injury management and rehabilitation
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Results-driven with a focus on accountability and high standards
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities with internal and external s
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership in driving change and continuous improvement
