Your role within the team
The Key Account Manager is a critical role within the H&H business and is responsible for nurturing our growth categories Skincare & Infant Formula. They will collaborate with the buying teams in our biggest customer to achieve executional, financial and operational targets. This role will also support the entire team with full ownership of Blueshift, our financial reconciliation including OPEX and trade spend management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement joint business plans alongside National Sales Manager with Chemist Warehouse,

  • Effectively manage retail promotional programs designed to maximise sales volume and profitability for the business,

  • Manage and evaluate co-op investment to deliver the highest return on investment possible for both H&H and the customer,

  • Responsibility as the key business management contact for retail buying teams across the Skincare & Baby categories,

  • Drive connection and implementation of our strategy to Chemist Warehouse strategy through strong relationships with Marketing,

  • Work closely with Logistics & Finance to ensure the smooth servicing of our retail accounts including leading our orders & inventory processes and owning and managing all financial reconciliation of claims and credits for Chemist Warehouse

  • Full ownership of forecast across all categories Vitamins, Skincare and Infant Formula.

To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity:

  • 2-4 years' experience in business development management, account management/ customer facing or category management,

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Commerce, Business),

  • Pharmacy or Grocery account management experience desirable,

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present proposals, reports, and updates effectively,

  • High level project management & strong administration background/PO raising,

  • Partnered with key stakeholders across multiple work areas to achieve business goals,

  • High account and relationship management experience,

  • Exposure in negotiating contracts and agreements, with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes,

  • Understanding of category data analysis tools and techniques (Blueshift, IRI, shopper data, Quantium etc.),

  • Advanced Data Analysis and excel skills,

  • Familiarity with the specific industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs,

  • Understanding of P&L statements, pricing strategies, and budgeting to manage accounts profitably,

  • Understanding of the products, including technical specifications and benefits, to effectively communicate value to customers.
