Job Description & Summary

Our Actuarial team provides a range of consulting services and strategic advice to a variety of clients operating in the superannuation and wealth management industry. We focus on using the latest technology to help clients with a wide variety of tasks including defined benefit valuations, regulation implementation, product and strategy, mergers and much more. We're looking for an Actuarial Manager to join our team.

Use the know-how you've gained working in superannuation to support our clients with actuarial valuations and strategic advice. With new problems to solve, you’ll have plenty of support and opportunities to grow. We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout. You'll learn plenty as you advise on key engagements in a workplace that’s human-led and tech-enabled.

As a Manager in our Actuarial team you’ll solve problems by advising clients on a range of issues relating to superannuation, insurance and retirement incomes. In this role, you’ll also:

  • Demonstrate strong quantitative analysis and financial modelling skills, with a focus on superannuation and retirement incomes, actuarial valuations, cash flow projections and financial reporting

  • Develop relationships with a range of market-leading clients in the superannuation industry

  • Deliver outstanding client service by identifying and solving problems, providing advice and addressing queries and concerns

  • Lead and develop an energetic, diverse and high-performing team

  • Develop your own project management, leadership, networking and technical skills, supported by a dedicated Coach, and Partner.

  • Work collaboratively with other parts of PwC to resolve client issues, identify opportunities and deliver solutions with a focus on superannuation.

About you

Ideally you will have a background in consulting for superannuation funds, with a preference for defined benefit superannuation or group life insurance. You are skilled in managing teams and hold a passion for providing advice to clients on a range of issues leveraging your effective communication skills.

It’s time to move forward. And upward.

You want to grow, reach new heights and move up the corporate ladder.

We’ll give you a career-boosting role that:

  • Is strong on growth and reward

  • Provides strong mentors and plenty of networking opportunities

  • Helps you learn and grow with our internal Academy, study support,

  • Gives you the chance to explore, with our Together Anywhere policy that lets you work up to 4 weeks from anywhere in Australia

  • Helps you prioritise your life outside of work, with lifestyle and wellness stipends up to $500 a year

  • Has competitive and transparent salary packages with the opportunity for yearly bonuses and promotions.

We're an inclusive bunch, and we try to make life easier - for our clients, our teams and our communities. If you need reasonable adjustments when applying, just let us know.

Hayley Siviour is the Recruitment Manager for the role. As the team experiences high volumes of applications, we appreciate your patience to allow for a timely and fair process for all.
