Our client, a local Bayside Family Business operating for over 70 years are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join their team and drive excellence in their quality management systems.
About the Role
As the QA Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring products and services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), lead a dedicated team of quality inspectors, and collaborate with various departments to promote quality excellence across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100D standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure successful outcomes.
- Lead a team of quality inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards and legal requirements.
- Conduct Quality Management Review and NCR meetings, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver quality-related training to upskill employees and enhance organizational capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar quality management role within the manufacturing industry (5+ years).
- Lead Auditor certification or equivalent qualifications in quality management.
- CMM experience essential
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, OHS requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with quality management tools.
- Practical, hands-on problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
