Introducing Western Plains Correctional Centre (Western Plains)

What you will do
As a disability and complex needs practitioner at Western Plains, you will conduct assessments, run life skills programs and create positive support plans for people with cognitive impairments.
You will:
- Facilitate life skills and adapted offence-related programs.
- Develop, implement and monitor positive support plans in collaboration with disability support workers.
- Lead transition planning and coordinate with external service providers.
- Supervise and support a team of prisoner peer mentors.
- Work with staff, case managers and external agencies to ensure effective disability support and release planning.
Qualifications
- A current Victorian driver's licence is required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in the field of allied health is highly desirable.
- Experience within the disability sector is desirable.
