The Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence (MCRE) will be a world-class global education, sporting and public gathering space that celebrates our nation and its oldest living culture on the lands of the Yorta Yorta people. Built in Shepparton's major sporting precinct and officially opened in August 2024, MCRE is designed to strengthen First Peoples economic and social prosperity, through enhanced pathways to education and jobs for First Peoples in the Goulburn Valley Region

As Chief Executive Officer, you will work closely with an engaged and high-performing Board to build strategic partnerships, enhance community engagement, and strengthen the Centre's reputation both within the region and beyond. In collaboration with the Board, you will establish a clear vision for the organisation's future, developing an ambitious long-term strategy and actionable plans that deliver meaningful impact. As the leader of a newly established Centre, you will oversee key workstreams, ensuring effective operational management, financial sustainability, governance, and risk management, including crisis response and compliance reporting.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will be a proven leader with experience embedding First Nations voices and perspectives to create an inclusive and thriving environment. You are a strong advocate for cross-cultural competency and contribute to a culture rooted in social justice, human rights, reconciliation, and Indigenous self-determination. Your deep connection to First Nations peoples, expertise in stakeholder management across government, and ability to drive community engagement and operational excellence will be highly regarded.
