Supported by a Senior Project Manager and experienced Contract Administrator, this is an outstanding opportunity to take ownership of a key project (7-month educational new build), delivering the job start to finish.
With a strong pipeline of project opportunities already secured over the coming three-years, the client is looking for a permanent and immediate resource.
Requirements:
- Carpentry trade with experience on commercial projects up to $10M
- Ability to plan, coordinate and manage sub-contractors
- Good communication and an intermediate level of computer literacy
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Leading Hand and/or Foreman with a head contractor
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in educational projects, highly desirable
- Comfortable and confident in both structures and fit out
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the entire build, ensuring it is executed within budget, timeline, and to the client's specifications
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor progress and quality of work on-site, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Manage and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards
