Colac Area Health are seeking Expressions of Interest for an exciting leadership opportunity for a Registered Nurse/Midwife to act in the role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). The Assistant Director of Nursing is a valued member of the Nurse Leadership Team and is the conduit between the Operational Managers and the Directors of strategic leadership. This role is responsible for the day to day oversight of resource allocation, support and management of After Hours Coordinator's. The Assistant Director of Nursing supports and promotes the values of the organisation through effective and professional leadership.
What's required?
- Registered Nurse - holding a current registration certificate with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Post Graduate studies in management desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar role or management position.
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and change management skills.
- High level IT competency.
- Current Advanced Life Support Skills.
- Ability to provide leadership, work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage emergencies.
