About the roleSouth West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced Nursing leader for the position of Deputy Director of Nursing (DDON) – Surgical Services.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing, the DDON of Surgical Services will be responsible for initiating, implementing and monitoring strategic activities to develop and enhance services. The DDON will empower the Nurse Unit Managers within their team to manage their human, financial and physical resources to deliver the best possible patient outcomes.
Position overview
* Employment Type: Full time (80 hours per fortnight) with a monthly ADO, On-going position
* Location: Warrnambool Campus
* Classification: Deputy Director of Nursing 8B Campus
* Salary Range: $149,162 pro rata, plus superannuation

* The successful applicant will be a Nursing leader with demonstrated experience in managing operational teams to provide safe, quality healthcare services.

* An understanding of the systems and data underpinning quality healthcare outcomes will drive your practice as a Nursing leader.
* Proven experience in surgical services will be an advantage, along with a strategic approach to service improvement and development.
* Dynamic leadership and management by fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative approach to promote excellence in patient care.
* The ability to work seamlessly within teams and across all areas of healthcare, empowering others whilst enhancing patient centred care.
* The ability to lead high-performing, adaptable, dynamic teams that embrace and implement change.
* Be passionate about innovation and continuous improvement in healthcare.
* Possess exceptional writing, analytical and digital literacy skills with the ability to engage interdisciplinary and regional stakeholders.
* A registered nurse with current AHPRA registration and relevant postgraduate qualification, masters or working towards is desirable.
