About the roleSouth West HealthCare's Perioperative Service is seeking applications from skilled and qualified Registered Nurses to join our Planned Surgery Unit . The highly capable team work cohesively along with various clinical services to provide positive outcomes for patients and their families in a safe and caring environment.
The Surgical Liaison Nurse works collaboratively with Proceduralists, Anaesthetists, Surgeons, Registrars and Nursing staff to maintain systems and processes for effective preparation list management and Pre Admission Clinic scheduling. The role also coordinates, monitors and manages planned surgery patients, including scheduling of operating lists, and delivering care in the Planned Surgery Unit.
Position overview
* Part-time (64 hours per fortnight), Fixed-term position
* Commencing July 2025, ending October 2026
* Warrnambool Campus
* Liaison Officer District Nursing (YY7)
* Salary: $113,360.00 pro rata, plus superannuation
What you bring
The successful applicant(s) will be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with relevant post graduate experience preferable in elective surgery. Demonstrated high level clinical and problem-solving skills together with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development will be highly regarded.
