What we are looking for :
Join our dynamic team as a Production Planner, where you will play a key role in optimising our production planning and scheduling processes. Your expertise in managing and creating efficient and effective scheduling of all manufacturing activities, ensuring optimal production flow, timely communication of production updates and accurate reporting on performance, prioritising deliveries to meet operational demands, and generating precise production schedules will ensure a seamless workflow.
Your contributions will be vital in driving efficiency and excellence within our production processes, making a significant impact on our overall success.
What the role entails :
- Develop and maintain a detailed Production Schedule that optimises resource utilisation, minimises downtime and meets production targets
- Scheduling all manufacturing processes considering factors such as machine capacity, labour budgets, material availability and production priorities
- Create workflows and batches for departments
- Setting and meeting Production targets and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Actively participate in the introduction and implementation of a renewed ERP system for scheduling
- Support the ongoing use of ERP system for scheduling by maintaining data integrity and assisting with user questions
- As part of a team, primary point of contact within defined area of responsibility for production updates, communicating clearly and proactively with internal teams
- Liaise with Procurement team to ensure that incoming goods align with the Production Schedule
- Liaise with Sales to ensure stock availability is clearly communicated
- Prepare reports on KPIs
- Analyse and interpret data to identify trends, bottlenecks and areas for improvement
What we require :
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Planning/Scheduling within a complex manufacturing environment
- Experience in ERP/MRP introduction
