The Role:

A great opportunity to join a dynamic public team health team. Northern Health are looking for a Grade 1 Speech Pthologist to come and join our team.

This is an exciting role that offers you the chance to build and broaden your clinical skills within a supportive environment, with exposure to a diverse caseload and a range of speciality areas. This role is further enhanced with access to resources such as VFSS, FEES and advance AAC devices, along with regular service advancement achieved through participation in quality assurance initiatives.

Northern Health Speech Pathology, with support from Northern Health Clinical School, strives to deliver high quality clinical education, allowing clinician’s regular exposure to students with ongoing support and training in clinical education.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Understanding of the assessment and management of patients presenting with disorders of communication and swallowing
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships and represent Speech Pathology on internal and external collaborations
  • Committment to life long learning and good self reflection skills to identify areas of strength and development
  • Ability to work well within a Multdiscplinary team
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adapatability
