About The Role:
- We have an exciting opportunity for 1-2 fully qualified Social Workers to join a supportive and dynamic team at the Mater Hospital- North Sydney and St Vincent’s Private Hospital – Darlinghurst. Varied shift length available: 3 hours - 10 hours. Must commit to regular weekend work.
- Casual hours to backfill LSL, AL, sick leave and during time of busy hospital activity.
- Areas of work include oncology, palliative care, renal, ICU, general medicine, cardiac, acute orthopaedics.
- Opportunity for group-based work.
- Supervision provided from Social Work Lead at the Mater Hospital.
- Ongoing Professional Development.
About You:
- Participating as a member of multidisciplinary teams.
- Carrying out the responsibilities of the position in a manner consistent with the philosophy, values and mission of Mary Aikenhead Ministries.
- Ensuring a high level of social work practice is maintained consistent with professional standards as defined by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Committing to ongoing professional development and teaching through research, education and social work students.
- Participating in strategic planning and quality improvement activities.
- Participating in meetings of AASW Special Interest Groups and other groups of relevance to the delivery of a high-quality Social Work Service to patients at the Mater.
