We are seeking applications for a General Services Officer (Housekeeper) to join our hospital housekeeping service on a part-time or casual basis.
The role of the General Services Officer is to support nursing staff by caring for patients’ personal needs and housekeeping duties within the unit or the wider hospital as required.
The Position

To help maintain the high standard of cleaning in the hospital by cleaning floors, bathrooms and other surfaces;

Ensure all room materials such as paper, soap and linen are re-stocked to and maintained at sufficient levels;

Ensure relevant information is communicated appropriately and within a timely manner to colleagues and supervisors;

To help prepare food and serve meals for patients, visitors and staff when required to assist Catering Department;

Maintain work practice according to hospital policies, procedures and standards.
We are seeking candidates with previous cleaning experience in a hospital setting, along with strong knowledge and training in HACCP and chemical safety. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively within a team and interact professionally with colleagues and patients.

We can offer you

Salary: $51,937 (pro rata for part-time) + 11.5% Superannuation
