This major upgrade at the heart of Pt Kembla Steelworks will play a major part in re-shaping the steel manufacturing landscape.
About the Role: As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will join Owners Project Delivery Team and take responsibility for the delivery of electrical engineering work packages in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
Responsibilities: Safety Leadership: Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, BlueScope policies, and Australian regulations.Electrical Engineering Design Leadership: Coordinate internal and external electrical design resources to develop scopes of work, technical specifications, and engineering standards.Project Engineering: Develop and manage technical specifications, tender packages, and contracts for electrical work packages, ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of assigned work packages, and oversee construction and commissioning phases, including defect rectification and handover.Team Collaboration: Actively engage with cross-functional project streams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with end users, contractors, and technical personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering and experience in electrical engineering, particularly in engineering construction projects within heavy industry.
Required Skills: Expertise in design and delivery of electrical systems in compliance with Australian and international standards. Experience in managing multi-disciplined teams and engaging with contractors and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills: Strong safety focus and leadership skills.
