The Opportunity:
Do you love working outdoors? We have a Max term full time (7 months) to join our Softwood Plantation Division as a Forestry Worker in Grafton which will see you performing a variety of field-based tasks in the great outdoors. You will also be part of the organization’s fire readiness strategy.

About the role:
To ensure that forest operations, including road maintenance, pest animal and weed control, hazard reduction burning and firefighting are carried out for the Region in a safe, effective and productive manner to established legislative, environmental and safety standards. This role requires a reasonable level of fitness as it involves a lot of walking through the bush and for firefighting
We would love you to have/be:

• Experience in bushfire fighting
• Team player with the ability to work extended hours
• Experience and / or qualifications in off-road driving, chainsaw use and chemical application
• First aid qualification
• Truck license (MR)
• Relevant qualification in Forestry Management or Natural Resource Management or basic TAFE will also be considered.
