Are you a compassionate individual ready to make a meaningful impact? Azalea Care Services is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Wollongong, NSW. In this casual role, you'll provide high-quality care to our elderly and disabled clients, enhancing their independence and enriching their lives.
Position Details:
- Schedule: 2-3 days per week, 6-8 hours per day
- Preference: Female candidates preferred
- Requirements: You must own a car and be comfortable with a pet-friendly therapy dog accompanying you
- Ideal Candidates: Student nurses, psychologists, and social workers are highly encouraged to apply
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, grooming, and dressing
- Offer companionship and emotional support through engaging interactions
- Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and community activities
- Support household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
- Monitor and report on clients' health and well-being
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols
What We Seek:
- Experience in aged care, disability support, or community services
- A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of vulnerable individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, empathetic, and person-centred approach
- Flexibility to adapt to each client's unique needs
- Current first aid certificate and valid driver's license
