About this opportunity
The CLS program is designed to work with participants to address key areas that support the development of decision-making skills, social skills, independent living skills, belonging in the community, healthy lifestyle, self-identity, self-esteem and resilience.
A key outcome of this program is to support the participant to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery and assist in the development of self-management skills.
Working in the role of Rehabilitation and Recovery Support Worker, you will provide practical goal driven support to people living with a mental health condition through the CLS program . This outreach focused program will include a structured peer education program delivered flexibly for both people and their families with a focus on community development, engagement and family capacity building. You will work collaboratively with each participant and their Recovery Worker in order to support improved mental wellbeing.
So what do you need?
- Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working in a support role for people with a mental illness, generally a tertiary level qualification in Mental Health or Community Services
- Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Full working rights in Australia
- Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate - free online course
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
