Job Description About the Role:
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimizing asset performance and driving financial success? We’re looking for an experienced Regional Asset Manager to lead our asset strategy across the Northern region.
In this critical role, you will take ownership of the full asset lifecycle, ensuring our fleet is performing at its peak while meeting key financial and operational targets. As a key leader within our Asset Team, you’ll foster strong relationships across the business and with external partners, driving value through efficient asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead regional asset planning, utilization, and performance optimization to deliver exceptional service while minimizing risk and costs.
- Make data-driven asset decisions for the Northern region.
- Track key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency.
- Manage asset registers and lease records in line with legislation and accounting standards.
- Report on asset performance, risks, and financial impact to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and manage regional asset budgets and forecasts, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
- Oversee capital expenditure projects, delivering on time and within budget.
- Analyse CAPEX proposals and conduct post-investment reviews.
- Provide accurate, cost-based insights to inform pricing and drive margin improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Operations to maximize asset utilization and profitability.
- Strengthen supplier relationships and secure cost-effective procurement solutions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to maintain our competitive edge.
- Mentor and develop the Regional Asset Administrator and Assistant Asset Manager.
What we’re looking for:
- 7years + proven experience in asset or fleet management, ideally in a regional or multi-site capacity.
- Strong financial acumen and a track record of driving cost savings and margin improvements.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to balance strategy and hands-on delivery.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to spot opportunities to enhance asset value.
