The Star Brisbane offers a variety of new dining, bars, and unique entertainment options. It also includes a five-star luxury hotel, The Star Grand, and a state-of-the-art Event Centre. This transformational project has brought even more excitement and anticipation to burgeoning Brisbane. It will redefine how people play, shop, and socialise in the river city.
The Senior Gaming Services Host position reports directly to the Premium Services Operations Manager and is responsible for directing staff to ensure service standards are maintained and each shift runs smoothly with a focus on the guest. You will assist the Premium Services Operations Manager to oversee the operational aspects of the Gaming Floor Hosting.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Deal with guest complaints and escalate if required
- Greet and assist guests in the premium gaming rooms
- Monitor guest, guest access and dress code in the VIP areas.
- Assist the Gaming Services Hosts to sign up new guests to the rewards program
- Assist the marketing department in all related activities including promotions, tournaments, gift days, events, functions and the rewards programme.
- Host events & be available to assist at the Gaming Floor Hosts desks
What are we looking for:
- Must be able to work on a 24/7 rotating roster on a full-time basis
- Experience in a guest service-related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous exposure to supervising staff
