About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our Allied Health team. The successful applicant will be offered permanent, part time employment, where you will be working a minimum of 19.5 hours a week across 3 days (Monday-Wednesday), with ability to increase hours pending operational need.
Salary range: $34.02- $35.66 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
Key tasks in the role include:
- Provide excellent customer service to all incoming patients accessing Allied Health Services.
- Assist in delivery of therapy services and running group sessions devised by therapists.
- Monitoring and care of clinical equipment, therapy material, educational resources, and assist with equipment purchasing.
- Maintain designated clinical areas, facilities and equipment in a safe and clean condition.
About you
To be successful in your application, you will have:
- A certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance desirable.
- Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clients, carers and service providers and respond to competing demands.
- Flexibility – able to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day and maintain composure and an excellent standard of customer service at all times.
- Demonstrated experience working in a patient environment (with inpatients, day patients, or outpatients).
- Ability to actively participate in a team.
- High level of computer skills.
- Highly competent organisation and time management skills.
