The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their team and play a critical role in supporting their workforce across multiple locations. This role offers a unique combination of strategic HR leadership and hands-on operational engagement , working closely with employees and senior management to drive HR initiatives that support business objectives.
Based in Brisbane , this position requires regular travel to Chinchilla , spending two full days per week on-site , with additional travel time as required. All travel, accommodation, and meals are fully covered, along with access to company vehicles. Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations & Industrial Relations (ER/IR): Provide expert advice on workplace matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Injury & Return-to-Work Management: Lead injury management processes, supporting employees through rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
  • HR Strategy & Workforce Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring best-practice approaches to workforce planning and retention.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Training & Development: Support leadership teams in delivering coaching, mentoring, and employee development initiatives.
  • Workplace Health & Safety (WHS): Ensure compliance with WHS policies and promote a culture of safety across all business units.
  • Multi-Site HR Support: Engage directly with managers and employees at all levels, working closely with teams in both urban and rural locations to provide tailored HR solutions.
This role requires a hands-on approach, working directly with employees and managers to drive engagement, compliance, and best-practice HR initiatives across a diverse workforce.
About You The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a strong background in employee relations, injury management, and compliance . You will have a pragmatic and adaptable approach , with the ability to balance both strategic HR initiatives and operational responsibilities .
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role within an operational or multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ER/IR legislation , workplace investigations, and award interpretation.
  • Experience managing injury management and return-to-work programs .
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to build trust and relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both strategically and hands-on.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to regional sites , with a commitment to being present on-site as needed.
  • A valid Class C driver’s license .
