Job Position: Disability Support Worker – Community Participation

Location: Moreton Bay region

Employment Type: Casual

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Support Worker to assist NDIS participants with community participation activities. This role involves supporting individuals in social, recreational, and skill-building activities, helping them build confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist participants in engaging with their local community, including attending social events, recreational activities, and skill development programs.

Provide transportation and accompany participants to appointments, shopping, or outings.

Encourage independence and participation in meaningful activities.

Support participants with daily living tasks where required.

Promote and maintain a safe and inclusive environment.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress notes.

Communicate effectively with participants, families, and support coordinators.

Requirements:

Previous experience in disability support, aged care, or a related field (preferred).

Ability to build strong relationships and work in a person-centered manner.

Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening Check) or willingness to obtain.

Current First Aid & CPR certification.

Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable, insured vehicle.

NDIS Worker Orientation Module completion or willingness to complete.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $31.76 – $48.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
