Our Sandgate Pharmacy and our Acacia Ridge Pharmacy are seeking passionate and highly motivated Aged Care technicians or Pharmacy Assistants to support our pharmacists in providing services to Aged Care facilities across south east Queensland.

The pharmacy has a strong focus on supplying medicines and supporting medication management to ensure the best possible health outcomes for our aged care customers.
In this important role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the pharmacists in preparation of medications
- Assisting the packing technician as required
- Working with medication charts to place orders and apply changes
- Dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of pharmacists
- Processing daily Aged Care orders
- Providing exceptional customer service on a daily basis
- Liaising with Nursing homes staff, prescribing doctors and other stakeholders
- Managing tasks to achieve set individual and team KPIs
- Developing specialised patient care skills
The right person will have:
- Dispensing experience within a pharmacy or hospital environment
- Commitment to deliver the highest standard of customer service
- Proven track record of dependability, time management and attention to detail
- Proficient in using dedicated dispensing and medication management software programs
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and over the phone
- Strong ability to multi-task and work in a large dynamic environment
- An enthusiastic, positive and team orientated attitude
- Certificate III in community pharmacy or a Dispensary Skillset qualification
- Alternatively a Certificate II in community pharmacy and would like to be trained to a Cert III.
A police certificate will be required in line with company policy.
