With our current and most wonderful Dispensary Assistant in the process of relocating to Sydney, Lake Kawana Pharmacy is now seeking an experienced full-time Pharmacy Assistant with previous dispensary experience to join us for a very unique role within our very special Pharmacy. Lake Kawana Pharmacy is a locally owned & operated community pharmacy, located within the Sunshine Coast Surgical & Specialist Centre, in the heart of Birtinya. Not just a busy local community pharmacy that takes great pride in its strong & loyal community following, Lake Kawana Pharmacy also looks after the needs of Lake Kawana General Practice, the Kawana Private Hospital, and a multitude of Specialist Clinics. Proudly independent, our pharmacy prioritizes “care” over profits, always offering the highest standards of patient care and customer service to our many fantastic customers.
Position Overview & Responsibilities:
This is a full-time Monday to Friday position (38 hours per week), offering generous remuneration, with NO weekend work & NO after-hours work commitments. This unique position offers a wide exposure to a variety of both retail & professional service offerings, including all aspects of dispensing & provision of prescriptions, dispensary management, dispensary stock control, and scheduled medicines/retail pharmacy product recommendations & sales. The position involves working alongside pharmacists & pharmacy assistants both independently & in a team environment setting, direct liaison with customers & patients in meeting their health outcomes, and liaising with both Medical Centre & Hospital Doctors & Staff in the day to day operational functions of the pharmacy. In short, you'll be working with &/or alongside your fellow peers from all spectrums of the medical & retail fields, in meeting the pharmacy needs of our local community members.
Qualities & Qualifications We're Looking For:
The successful applicant should possess sound organizational skills, have the ability to work both independently & in a team environment, have a sound knowledge of community pharmacy, & should present professionally, & be comfortable liaising with people from all walks of life & from all professions. Prior pharmacy experience is an essential pre-requisite, as is the ability to embrace and deliver the highest level of customer service delivery. Previous dispensary experience is a considerable advantage.
