At Ernest Henry, you can choose what suits your priorities. Work an attractive fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roster from Cairns or Townsville or a drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster and take advantage of our top-class camp, or live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night.
This roster is 8/6 (days) - 7/7 (nights) with a 12-hour shift.

About the role
As a Fixed Plant Operator, you will operate and maintain a range of equipment as part of the underground maintenance team. Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate and promote a high level of safety commitment
- Competently operate all relevant equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Work within a tight knit team, demonstrating a proactive attitude and high work standards;
- Operating fixed plant machinery such as crushers, conveyors and pumps, as well as maintaining mine reticulation systems (air/water etc)
- Following maintenance schedules, procedures and permitting protocols
- Maintaining accurate work records
About you
You will bring prior experience working in an underground mining environment with various fixed plant assets. You will have a safety-focused mindset and a can-do attitude with a willingness to accept individual responsibility within a small team. A basic level of computer skills and relevant machinery tickets. Your competence in assessing risks, applying sound operational controls, and executing tasks proficiently will ensure optimal fixed plant performance.
