What You’ll Do
Based in Roma / Brisbane point of Hire
Roster 2 on / 2 Off
This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, cost-effective execution of the integrated schedule and operation/maintenance of assets within a Coal Seam Gas (CSG) Field & Plant.
This is a role based in Roma.
Key Responsibilities Include
Ensure compliance with Santos Management System (permit to work, hazard assessment, incident reporting)Uphold EHS standards, participate in audits, and act as safety watch.Perform routine duties per maintenance schedules and Reliability & Integrity plans.Participate in shutdown planning and execution.Maintain strong communication and positive relationships with operations personnel.Collaborate with engineering to improve equipment reliability.Identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce waste.Respond quickly to malfunctioning critical equipment.Operate and maintain equipment per procedures to extend lifespan. Diagnose and repair Instrument and Electrical equipment (CSG systems, instrumentation).Experience with PLCs, VSDs, motor controls, and electrical schematics.Assist in procedure/work instruction development.Obtain Permit Authority qualifications and manage permit system. Maintain high housekeeping standards.Stay updated on regulatory developments in instrumentation/electrical trade. Perform other duties as assigned.Use Santos systems (myPlant, SAP, EHS Toolbox, Discover) for efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have attained a Cert III Electrotechnology/Instrumentation Dual Trade or equivalent E/I Dual Trade Qualification and demonstrated substantial experience within the oil and gas or mining industry. Your ability to mentor apprentices and share knowledge is essential, along with:
Proficient use and fault-finding experience with Allen Bradley PLC, Emmerson ROC and Emerson Delta V DCS.Proficient word processing skills utilising the MS Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Competent in the use of SAP.
Ideally, you will be degree qualified or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
