An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Sales / Account Manager to grow our Truckit for Business team.

Role Summary

Off the back of ongoing growth, Truckit.NET is expanding the Truckit for Business team. The Truckit for Business Growth Manager is responsible for growing and managing Truckit’s business customers utilising the ‘self‐serve’ freight platform (B2B and some B2C). This includes onboarding new business customers to the platform, managing existing platform business customers, identifying when to refer more complex customers to the Managed Services division, and being the conduit to protecting the competitiveness of Truckit’s freight rates. The ultimate goal is to ensure a smooth, scalable, and profitable experience for business customers on the Truckit platform.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Customer Onboarding & Management
    • Inbound Enquiries: Work closely with the Customer Service team to receive and convert leads into active customers, and introduce them to the Truckit for Business platform.
    • Customer Onboarding & Education: Guide new customers through account setup, platform features, and best practices. Provide ongoing training resources and support if required.
    • Account Management: Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs), monitor performance, increase cross-sell and address any service issues or additional needs.
  2. New Business Acquisition
    • Lead Generation & Outreach: Identify and pursue potential business customers through networking, industry events, partnerships, and direct outreach.
    • Sales Pipeline Management: Convert leads into active customers on the Truckit for Business platform. Negotiate service terms, clarify rates, and finalize onboarding.
    • Growth Targets: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets for new business sign‐ups and revenue generation.
  3. Referral to Managed Services
    • Seamlessly transfer complex customers to the Managed Services division, ensuring accurate handover of requirements and maintaining positive customer experience.
  4. Rates Management & Platform Competitiveness
    • Rate Updates & Monitoring: Continuously review, source and update freight rates on the Truckit platform to assist with new business acquisition. Negotiate rates to ensure competitiveness for Truckit’s customers. Monitor market trends and collaborate with Transport Providers to remain competitive.
    • Performance Tracking: Evaluate the impact of rate changes on volume, margin, and customer satisfaction. Adjust strategies to optimize outcomes.
  5. Transport Provider Onboarding
    • Integration Support: Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., IT or Operations) to ensure Transport Providers’ systems and/or rates integrate effectively with the Truckit platform.
    • Verify that Transport Providers meet Truckit’s compliance standards (insurance, safety, licensing, etc.) and maintain accurate onboarding records.
    • Introduce Transport Providers to Truckit’s platform to assist with onboarding.

Additional Duties

  • Work with product and operations teams to enhance the Business platform’s features and customer experience.
  • Identify areas for operational efficiency, automation, or enhanced customer experience, and propose solutions.
  • Provide regular reports on business customer acquisitions, platform usage, revenue performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, account management, or business development.
  • At least 3 years’ domestic Freight/logistics knowledge
  • Strong ability to pitch, negotiate, and close deals with new business customers and Transport Providers.
  • Adept at understanding customer needs, building relationships, and providing exceptional service and support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Innovative, driven, and keen to grow with an expanding team.
  • Ability to interpret data, market trends, and customer feedback to refine strategies and pricing.
  • Works effectively across multiple departments (Customer Service, Managed Services, Operations, etc.).
  • Able to juggle multiple accounts, leads, and onboarding tasks efficiently.
  • Understanding of freight rate structures and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and digital sales tools.
  • Proactively identifies challenges (e.g., rate discrepancies, platform issues) and works with the relevant teams to implement solutions.
