About the role:Murph’s Plumbing is an established Plumbing business based in Normanton, servicing the Gulf of Carpentaria communities, with a strong supply of local and remote work. Trade qualified for over thirty years, with the bulk of that time spent in the region, Andrew Murphy has a broad experience and strong reputation in the industry, providing high quality plumbing and gas fitting services in public housing, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, new works, Government Maintenance contracts, including schools, health and police. Given the volume of work, we’re looking for an additional qualified Plumber to join the team, to live and work in the Gulf, based out of the Normanton Depot.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working on a variety of jobs, mostly maintenance, some new builds, refurbs and government contracts.
- Travelling to remote communities within the wider Gulf region with some overnight stays (company paid)
- Work including general plumbing maintenance, Backflow Prevention Devices, TMV’s, domestic gas installations and maintenance
- Proven experience as a trade qualified Plumber/Drainer,
- Experience working on a variety of projects including residential, commercial, government contracts
- Ability to self manage workload
- Experience and interest working in, and travelling to remote locations
- Qld licensed plumber and drainer or eligible to obtain
- Qld Gas license desirable
- Have your own hand tools and press gun (ideal, but not essential)
- Good attitude and willingess to work in a variety of conditions
