Ameropa is a privately held, Swiss family-owned international agribusiness. We produce, originate and market fertilisers and grains, as part of the supply chain tasked with feeding the world. We have regional offices on all five continents and invest globally in assets supporting their business activities.
Ameropa Australia’s wholesale side of the business (Impact Fertilisers) sells its products and services through an extensive dealer network in Eastern Australia (nine mainland and seven Tasmanian Impact Fertilisers distribution plants and a fertiliser manufacturing facility in Hobart).
Ameropa Australia’s retail side of the business (Browns’ Fertilisers) provides agronomy services, products and other services including on-farm fertiliser spreading through four distribution plants located in the Gippsland area and North-East Victoria.

THE JOB
Reporting to the Operations Manager – Longford, your primary role will be to provide fertiliser handling and dispatching services at the site. You will ensure the safe operation, maintenance and cleaning of the plant and equipment and other duties as required. You will be a key contributor to a work-efficient team with a strong focus on customers, safety, environment, and health.
To be considered for this position you will need to have the following competencies:
- Expertise in the storage, handling and dispatching of stock in a safe manner.
- Proven strong safety management and safety compliance background.
- An energetic, results-oriented self-starter with a personal drive to make things happen.
- Proven ability to keep clear and accurate documents and records of operational activities.
- Highly organised and able to communicate effectively with colleagues, transport operators and customers.
- Hold a current Driver’s licence, fork-lift licence and front-end loader ticket.
- Able to perform routine preventative maintenance and pre-start checks as well as other general manual and administrative duties found in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrate sound literacy and numeracy skills to be able to learn and operate (with training) relevant job specific technology ie. operational equipment, production quantity/quality and other related systems in control rooms; business systems (Microsoft Office, HRIS, Access Micropay, learning management system (LMS).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including occasional shift work due to the seasonal requirements of the business.

Experience in bulk handling industries and/or lean manufacturing environments will be an advantage but is not essential.
