And they’re excited by what’s possible. They know the best new ideas often come from curious, talented individuals. Perhaps you’re one of them.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Private Business & Family Advisory, the full-time Senior Analyst plays a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and tax services to a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals and complex business groups.

As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements, while proactively identifying tax issues such as Division 7A, CGT, and fringe benefits tax. You will provide financial insights, support tax planning, and contribute to forecasting. Beyond technical expertise, you will also mentor and coach junior staff, review work for accuracy, and enhance internal processes for efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements across various entity types.
  • Identify and manage tax issues such as Division 7A loans, CGT events, SBE depreciation, and fringe benefits tax.

  • Mentor and coach junior staff, review their work, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Utilise Xero and other accounting software to streamline workflows and enhance reporting.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail, self-identify errors, and recommend process improvements.
  • Actively participate in professional development and technical training.

Who we’re looking for

Here are the key qualifications, skills, and attributes we’re looking for. If you tick most of the boxes, but not all, we’d still encourage you to apply. Other capabilities you have may make you the perfect fit, and we can work on filling the gaps together.

  • CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion).
  • Strong experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals and business entities.
  • Good knowledge of tax legislation, including Division 7A, CGT, SBE concessions, and fringe benefits tax.
  • Experience with Xero and other accounting software solutions.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach to accounting and advisory services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience mentoring junior staff.
What is in it for you

Our client believes success is better shared. Investment is made in the future of their people and the culture that supports all. You will have the opportunity to leverage inhouse leadership and professional development programs that are tailored to each level and explore how to lead with impact.

In addition to working with a company who actively support your health, social connection and workplace culture, you will have access to:

  • 12 weeks paid parental leave
  • Community leave
  • Purchased leave program
  • An environment of openness, where great ideas can come from anywhere!

How to apply

If you can see yourself as part of a team that’s all about people doing meaningful work, and leading with the best ideas, we want to hear from you.
