About the role:
Reporting to the Network Direct, Southern Adelaide Diabetes and Endocrine Services and the Director of Nursing, some of your duties as the Diabetes Research Nurse Practitioner may involve:
- Contributing and supporting the clinical research trials department.
- Applying and sharing expert clinical knowledge to improve client care.
- Implementing changes local processes and practices in accordance with emerging service needs, care evaluation results, identified imminent systems problems, and coordination of local activities with corporate systems.
- Integrating contemporary information and research evidence with personal experience to support the decision making, innovative thinking and objective analysis that are expected at this level. e.g. Critically appraise and synthesise the outcomes of relevant research.
About you:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Authorised as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Endorsed by AHPRA.
- Credentialed as a Nurse Practitioner with LHN.
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience.
- Demonstrated advanced level of Nursing practice in the care and management of people with diabetes.
- Experience with quality improvement methodologies for clinical activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and/or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
