About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Lead to join our SSN AUKUS team in Adelaide.
Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will play an instrumental role in delivering BAE Systems Australia’s SSN AUKUS communication strategy across internal and external audiences.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, with options of working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and lead the development and delivery of engaging SSN AUKUS content across a range of local and global internal channels
- Identify opportunities to protect and enhance our brand and program reputation externally
- Collaborate to deliver key communications outcomes within complex stakeholder environments, both internally and externally
- Collaborate with senior leaders across the business and provide strategic advice for proactive and reactive communications
- Collaborate to deliver key events and site visits for internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively identify issues and trends which may have an impact on reputation and engagement and provide communications advice to help mitigate
About YOU
- Demonstrated experience in a communications role in a corporate environment
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to effectively engage with internal and external audiences
- Demonstrated experience in executing communications plans that support the delivery of company reputation and large-scale campaigns
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation
- Demonstrated experience in complex environments, advising senior leaders on communications challenges
- Defence industry knowledge would be desirable
