About the role:
Due to growth, the Torrens Health group is seeking an experienced & motivated Payroll Officer who can work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment — working within our national Finance team, across two offices.
The role is full-time hours Monday to Friday & you will be required to assist in the timely preparation of payroll related data, reconciliations, back pay calculations & payments, data analysis & other project duties involved in remediating payroll matters & future-proofing payroll systems & processes promptly.
Essential duties required to succeed:
- High volume Payroll processing for several entities, including Superannuation
- Strong attention to detail to ensure employee payments are processed accurately & database integrity is maintained
- Provide a responsive, accurate employee advisory service on payroll, resolve complex enquiries & assist in identifying payroll errors & implement corrective action, where required
- Produce payroll reports as required
- Finalise end of year payments
- Raise tax invoices from payroll processed to clients
- Perform monthly leave reconciliations
- Processing of invoicing & resolving enquiries
- Knowledge of relevant labour laws & tax regulations
- Other duties as required

About You:
A pre-requisite is strong skills in Payroll and Invoicing.
- Experience with high volume Payroll Processing (300+)
- Knowledge of specific awards (Clerks Award & SCHADS Award)
- Understanding of Leave Entitlements & Superannuation
- Ability to multi-task & prioritise workload
- Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal
- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
- Knowledge of MYOB & ability to learn new software
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the healthcare sector
