Whilst important, our role has shifted to include ‘providing work opportunities’, ‘fostering and creating small enterprises’, supporting ’emerging businesses’, supporting Government objectives – in essence assisting communities to plan for and RISE to the challenge of self-determination.
RISE Ventures delivers the CDP in the community of Katherine. CDP is a holistic program aimed at engaging communities and their people, providing communities with support through consultation; community funding; community development; education, training and Employment Services.
We are looking for a local applicant to work with RISE and the community in Katherine.
A day in the life of a Service Coordinator can include:
- Engage with whole community including participants, elders, council, and youth.
- Deliver CDP services to participants via strengths-based approach and individualised service plans.
- Actively participate in a whole of centre approach to transitioning our participants into sustainable employment / education and keeping them there for a minimum of 26 weeks
- Encouraging and motivating participants through appropriate activities to find their own employment.
Please note this is a Max Term role until the 31-10-2025

To be considered you must…
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
- Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
- Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
- Ability to work Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
