About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to join our team and drive the delivery of high-quality recruitment services in line with the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) Guidelines. In this role, you will support your team while promoting apprenticeship pathways, building and maintaining a comprehensive Job Seeker Register, and assisting employers in connecting with apprentices. You will also play an essential role in placing job vacancies on Skills Road, contributing to the growth of apprenticeship opportunities across various sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mentor and support a small team, providing regular feedback and ensuring effective communication within the team.
- Track and report on team performance, including KPIs, weekly updates, and any required reporting to management.
- Attend school and community career expos to promote apprenticeship pathways.
- Support the delivery of Career Workshops and presentations in schools and with employment providers.
- Provide job seekers with fundamental recruitment support, focusing on helping them secure employment.
- Encourage and increase engagement with the Job Seeker Register by both job seekers and employers.
- Undertake assessments of Job seekers to determine Apprenticeship readiness.
- Liaise with employers to increase the number of jobs advertised with ASA and engagement with job seekers registered on the Job Seeker Register.
- Liaise & build relationships with key stakeholders to promote services and identify and create engagement opportunities.
- Educate job seekers on effective job search strategies and techniques.
- Provide a job matching service that links prospective employees (typically prospective Apprentices or Trainees) with employers with open vacancies.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and communicate clearly.
- Strong reporting abilities and a solid understanding of KPI tracking and monitoring.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering value to both job seekers and employers.
- A strong understanding of apprenticeships and traineeships, including their processes and requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment processes and the ability to guide employers through these processes.
- Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for working with young people and experience in engaging with them effectively.
- Experience in providing guidance to apprentices on job-seeking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
