The Opportunity
We are seeking a mature person who can work independently in a small office environment who is proficient in MYOB and Excel. This is a part-time role of approximately 20 hours per week and is office based. The role supports the Managing Director, and the successful candidate will manage the accounts to balance sheet and will also be able to cover various administration duties.
Duties
- MYOB Account Right experience
- Bookkeeping and maintenance of account records
- General ledger to trial balance, preferably to balance sheet
- Accounts payable approval, data entry and reconciliation
- Account receivable data entry, reconciliation, invoicing and collection
- Bank reconciliations/Visa/Merchant statements
- Weekly payroll processing and reconciliation
- Reconciliation of purchase orders and stock inwards
- Preparation and reconciliation of Superannuation lodgement
- Preparation reconciliation and lodgement of PAYG and BAS
- Month end reports
Experience and Criteria Required
- 3-5 years experience in a similar position maintaining accounting records
- MYOB Account Right experience that includes inventory control would be advantageous
- Innovative problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational, communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages, including Excel
- Leadership capability and ability to work in a team
- Ability to build meaningful and effective relationships with staff and clients.
- A friendly and approachable disposition would be highly valued
