The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Safety Officer to join an expanding concrete structures contractor.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about workplace health and safety, who wants to implement continuous improvement and who wants to play a key role in maintaining safe work environments on high-profile construction projects.
The Role
Working across multiple commercial construction sites in the Perth metro area and surrounding suburbs, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership: Promoting a strong safety culture by engaging with site teams, subcontractors, and management. Delivering safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions to improve safety awareness.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all projects comply with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and industry standards.
  • Risk Mitigation: Conducting site inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing effective control measures.
  • Incident Management: Investigating incidents, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Reporting: Maintaining accurate safety documentation, including audits, risk assessments, and incident reports.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with project managers and site supervisors to embed safety practices into daily operations.

The Requirements
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or above (Preferred but not essential)

Trade background (Preferred but not essential)

  • 3 years’ experience in a Safety Officer role or similar on construction projects
  • Willingness to travel across Perth and surrounding suburbs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Drivers License

Must have full working rights in Australia, live in Perth and have own reliable transport.
